Treatment of diabetes type2, especially in cases of overweight, when diet and exercise are not enough to restore glycemic control. For adults, MEFOR 850 mg can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other oral antidiabetic agents or with insulin. In children over 10 years and adolescents, MEFOR 850 mg can be used as monotherapy or in combination with insulin. A reduction in diabetes-related complications has been observed in overweight type 2 diabetic adult patients treated with first-line metformin after diet failure.
